(Eine Hausaufgabe für den Englisch unterricht von vor einem Jahr. Aufgabe war es ein Gedicht über Poesie zu schreiben)

Tell me what is poetry?

Poetry is what the couples do
They sit by night and smile askew
And in the sky the stars shine bright

With every kiss
They find the rhymes
Like a lovely melody
That you can hear sometimes
I tell you that is poetry!

Poetry is what the winter brings
When snow falls on the clearings
And children play with cold made dolls

With every christal falling on earth
The nature is in flurry
And get its special worth
I tell you that is poetry!

Poetry is the beauty of a maid
Standing in the garden under a sunshade
With a bow in the hair and thoughts about heaven.

Her long flaxen curls
Are falling from the jetty
Adorned with pearls
I tell you that is poetry!
